Livingston James Group Launches Into Technology And Change Recruitment With Hamilton Forth
th
Scottish headquartered recruiter Livingston James Group has launched its newest brand, Hamilton Forth, expanding its reach into technology and change recruitment across the UK.
Sarah Greensmith, former Managing Director of IT and Technology at Hudson, and technology recruitment specialists McGregor Boyall, joins to lead the business in the UK. Laura Thorburn, previously Head of Technology at Change, will head up the Scottish office.
Hamilton Forth is the sixth brand launched by the Livingston James Group since its inception in 2010 and the first to have a base outside of Scotland. Many of the Group brands are named after an inspiring innovator in their field, with Hamilton Forth referencing Margaret Hamilton, the computer scientist who wrote the Apollo spacecraft guidance software for NASA. The team also chose to honour Hamilton to acknowledge the continued need for increased representation of women in technology.
On her decision to join Livingston James Group as head of Hamilton Forth, Greensmith said: “The success of Livingston James Group in organically growing market leading, niche brands made them the obvious choice when looking for a platform from which to grow a new technology and change practice.
“Compared with the recent challenges of post-merger integration, and the scale of an established PLC, the opportunity to build a brand from grass roots with the support of a privately owned parent company has significant appeal.
“Client reception to this new venture has surpassed expectation with senior permanent and interim opportunities already live across Edinburgh, Manchester and London.”
Hamilton Forth will focus exclusively on the search and selection of senior roles in the technology and change sector. Greensmith is already looking to attract experienced recruiters to join the business across the UK to build on its early success.
Group co-founder Jamie Livingston commented: “Any new business succeeds or fails on the strength of its leadership team and we are delighted to welcome Sarah and Laura to drive the growth of Hamilton Forth across the UK.”
The launch of Hamilton Forth comes after a period of growth for the Group that has seen its headcount rise from 32 to 39, and a turnover growth of 63% from £4.1m to £6.7m over a rolling 12 period to the end of Q1 2017.
Hamilton Forth is part of the Livingston James Group, a portfolio of specialist search and selection businesses established to deliver recruitment solutions tailored specifically to the market segment they face.
