Hamilton Forth is delighted to be working in partnership with Napier University on the appointment of a new Workspace Tech Engineer as part of their client services IS division.

This is a permanent role with a blend of time spent on site and working remotely - with a fantastic opportunity to progress and work under a high-performing CS team.

Background:

This role is within the Client Services Team which is one of three which form the Infrastructure Services Group. This team evaluates, designs, develops, implements, maintains, and secures the services and processes which provide 2000 staff and 20000 student users with access to over 3500 centrally managed university Client Computer Devices, over 250 Client Applications and 76 Networked Multifunction Printers (MFPs).

Duties:

  • Be a technical lead in the research, development, enhancement and management of Client Device related IT services and associated infrastructure to agreed requirements.
  • Play a lead role in contributing to, evaluating, developing and launching bespoke new and enhanced services to ensure reliable, efficient and effective end user services.
  • Initiate relationships and work proactively and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders (academic and professional service departments, external providers, contractors and support organisations).

 

Tech:

  • Demonstrable practical experience of at least three of the following enterprise scale corporate IT management tools: Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Microsoft M365 Tenancy Administrative Centres, Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (AAD), Microsoft AD and ADD Policies, PaperCut Print Management or similar
