Description

Hamilton Forth is delighted to again be working with one of our most valued partners in the public sector arena. Our client is one of Scotland’s 32 local authorities and is in the process of undertaking a number of new, exciting initiatives underpinned by digital transformation and workspace technology optimisation.

As a result of increased demand for talent, our client is looking to add the following to their team on a contract (outside IR35) basis. The role will also be a part time assignment – with a demand of 2-3 days per week of work to be completed.

*Contract IT Project Manager*

Working within the Business Systems (IT) team, the Project Manager will focus on embracing and implementing new working environments and systems for the changing workplace in a post-Covid-19 world.

- Tasked with delivering a number of business projects – namely the co-ordination of a number of technical and non-technical teams in refreshing digital assets across a number of sites

- Project work will also include supporting the procurement and implementation of a new desk-booking system for hybrid working

- Management of a business communications plan to keep teams informed about events, processes and plans

It would be advantageous, although not essential, for candidates to come from a structured PM methodology background (Prince 2 / PMP) as well as having demonstrable industry experience in the roll-out of workplace tech, managing 3rd party vendors and suppliers and experience in creation of business continuity plans and processes.

There is no mandatory technical background which candidates must possess – however familiarity with Windows / Microsoft based infrastructure – databases, servers, applications – would be looked upon favourably.

The role can be completed fully remotely – with the very odd occasion where a trip to the office may be required.

In addition to the stated criteria, our client seeks a candidate who is forward-thinking, adaptable and hard-working. The successful applicant will be compensated attractively for their skillset, experience and the innovative approach they can bring to the role. If you want to make a positive impact to the local community then please get in touch with Hamilton Forth’s Rachel Sim at [email protected].
