At the beginning of 2022, Hamilton Forth announced the launch of a new Salesforce recruitment team, welcoming two experienced recruiters – Hazel Swan and Lynne Munro, to focus exclusively on Salesforce appointments.
Salesforce is a cloud-based software company providing CRM services and enterprise applications focused on customer service, marketing automation, analytics, and application development.
Here, Lynne and Hazel reflect on the last six months at Hamilton Forth.
Lynne Munro
Team LJG
It’s hard to believe I have been working at Hamilton Forth for over six months now. They say that ‘time flies by when you are having fun’ and I can honestly say I have loved every minute of it so far! From day one I felt settled, being part of a friendly and supportive team at Hamilton Forth, together with the wider Livingston James Group.
Expanding our Networks
The last six months has been an exciting time, building a portfolio of clients and candidates within the Salesforce eco-system. My first few months were spent connecting with Candidates to understand their needs, requirements, and ambitions for their next role. I have spoken with candidates from all over the UK, building relationships and getting to know more about the talent that is out there – and boy are there some great candidates out there waiting to be snapped up!
Promoting Salesforce in Scotland
It’s also been a great opportunity to promote our services in Scotland, meeting candidates in person for a chat over coffee and discovery sessions. We’ve been lucky to interview some amazing candidates and share their personal Salesforce journeys and ambitions via our monthly blogs. I look forward to continuing to build our network within Scotland and the UK to help more candidates into exciting Salesforce opportunities.

Purpose & Values
What first attracted me to Hamilton Forth was the organisation’s purpose and values. It’s important to me that a company I am part of not only talks about purpose and values but also puts them into action. Over the last six months’, Hamilton Forth and the wider Livingston James Group have not disappointed.
Our purpose and values at Hamilton Forth are not just words on paper, but rather a way of creating a positive culture that runs deep through everything we do from our work with candidates, clients, to colleagues, and communities.
When we make decisions, purpose and values are at the heart of the process. We celebrate every single month each and every value that we see each day in action. Strong purpose and values are so important and help inspire and stay focused to achieve our goals.
Building Relationships
Over the last six months we have been busy building up a portfolio of new clients. I love having the initial discovery discussions to understand client needs, their projects, their roles, what Salesforce products they are working with, and how we can support all of that through our recruitment services.
As a certified Salesforce Administrator and Trailhead Ranger turned Salesforce recruiter, I am able to see both the client and candidate point of view, which is really helpful.
Salesforce in Scotland
I’ve recently become the Co-Leader of the Scotland Salesforce Admin Group. It has been great to get the events back up and running post-covid in Scotland. Hamilton Forth hosted and sponsored the first in person event this year back in May which was a great opportunity to meet Salesforce Scotland community members, learn new skills, and encourage new ideas through networking with the community. We look forward to many more events over the next year.
Team Reflections
A high for both of us was attending this years’ London’s Calling event back in June 2022. Working remotely has it’s benefits however being able to attend an event where there were so many familiar faces was fantastic.
We loved connecting in person with clients and candidates alike and having followed and spoken with so many people virtually for so many years, it was a positive experience to meet in person. Being at the event demonstrated the power of the Salesforce community as well as widening our network of new relationships within the ecosystem. We can’t wait to attend our next big event next year.
We are working with some fantastic clients and candidates, receiving excellent testimonials along the way and are excited to build and support our networks, establishing ourselves as a recognised and respected Salesforce Recruitment Service with a genuine desire make a difference.
We are immensely proud to be part of the Hamilton Forth Team and the Livingston James Group and are here to advise and support people and organisations to realise their potential so that together we can impact lives and communities for the better.
