Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

At Hamilton Forth, DE&I is at the heart of everything we do, from executive-level searches and project campaigns through to how we operate within our own business.

In a marketplace that connects across different cultures, access to a diverse workforce is essential.

Our team is trained annually on promoting best practice for diversity and inclusion both internally, and with our candidates and clients. This includes training on shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates, and drafting inclusive job advertisements to encourage applications from all backgrounds.

We manage all applicants fairly and transparently, applying only job criteria which are strictly necessary for the performance of the role. Our employees are also trained to challenge clients in the creation of their role profiles to ensure inclusivity.  We also are also members of or partner with the following organisations:

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Employers Network for Equality & Inclusion is the UK’s leading employer network covering all aspects of equality and inclusion issues in the workplace.

We are proud to support the Digital Technology Education Charter as advisors and signatories.  Our aim is to inspire the next generation and encourage them to choose Computing Science and help bridge the digital skills gap.

dressCode aspires to make a dent in the Computing Science gender gap; with the aim of engaging, inspiring, and raising awareness of opportunities in the world of tech.

The Tech Talent Charter (TTC) is a non-profit organisation leading a movement to address inequality in the UK tech sector and drive inclusion and diversity in a practical and uniquely measurable way.

Our membership of ScotlandIS ensures we are part of the action plan to identify ways of addressing DE&I issues in the Scottish technology market.

Community Impact – Digital Technology Education Charter

As part of our commitment to a diverse workforce in the Scottish digital and technology sector, Hamilton Forth is proud to be a signatory of the DTEC.

OUR INSPIRATION

Meet Margaret… The first word in our company name is a nod to one of our heroes – the lead software engineer for Project Apollo, Margaret Hamilton. We feel, like Margaret, that we can make a difference, and through our network unearth the next generation of tech talent.

Together we achieve more.

Livingston James Group comprises three bespoke sub brands: Hamilton Forth, Rutherford Cross – our specialist finance recruitment practice, and Livingston James – our executive search and leadership advisory practice. This wider group structure complements our robust search and assessment process, allowing clients to access the Group’s deep-rooted network and expertise.
