Josh Moreland

Josh Moreland

CIO Services

DevOps and Software Engineering

Josh leads our Hamilton Forth practice, combining his expertise in supporting value-seeking clients with the provision of technical resource and running a team of associate consultants.

He has worked in the technology arena for 13 years and has supported a range of businesses from blue-chip enterprises to SMEs and start-ups. He also leads the HF practice in the delivery of tech resource to a range of public sector and not-for-profit organisations. He is well-versed in supporting businesses across permanent, contract and project-based service solutions and occupies a position on a steering committee within one of Scotland’s leading technology bodies.

Outside of work Josh is keen on outdoor sports – football, hiking, golf and dabbles in some cooking and quizzes with friends.

Data and Software Engineering

Rachel is our Business Graduate at Livingston James Group. She graduated from Robert Gordon University in September 2021 with an MSc in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs and a BA (Hons) in Management with Marketing. While studying for her MSc, Rachel started her own homeware business promoting small, up-and-coming businesses who needed support. Upon completing her five years of University studies in Aberdeen, Rachel moved to Glasgow to begin her role with the Livingston James Group.

As Business Graduate, Rachel will work across all divisions of Livingston James Group working on research, recruitment and marketing projects. The role will follow a yearlong programme with 3-month rotations across the following areas: Executive Search – Research; Specialist Recruitment – Technology; Specialist Recruitment – Finance; Bespoke Projects – Internal Operations & Marketing.

Rachel’s role at Livingston James Group will allow her to continue supporting individuals and organisations to realise their full potential. Outside of work, Rachel is settling into life in Glasgow but still enjoys visits home to see her friends and family at the weekends.

Tom Watson

Interim & Contract

Tom is our newest edition at Hamilton Forth specialising in the interim market. Tom works closely in the provision of infrastructure, software, and business analysis professions.  After graduating from Edinburgh Napier University in July 2022 with a 1st Class Honours in Business Management, Tom is passionate about sourcing IT experts and supporting clients with their IT requirements. Tom is also keen to help IT individuals with their next career move and those seeking potential opportunities within the market, having some prior experience within the recruitment industry already and writing his dissertation on this area. Feel free to reach out to Tom for a temperature check to see what’s hot in the contract market right now!

In his spare time outside of work, you’ll certainly find Tom on the golf course trying to live up to his famous name, or in the gym and out socialising with friends and family. He is also an avid food lover; you can be sure to find him eating out in some of Edinburgh’s great restaurants.

Kirsty Sim

Kirsty Sim

Head of Research

Kirsty is Head of Research for Livingston James Group. Kirsty leads all research activities including market mapping, talent mapping, international search and candidate attraction. Kirsty is also our trained in-house psychometric assessor.

Kirsty works closely with Consultants and Clients to understand exactly what is required and build a robust and targeted plan for how to source and attract high calibre individuals. Over seven years in the recruitment industry, she has worked across a range of sectors and specialisms, primarily at executive level.

Passionate about understanding people, what motivates them and how they can reach their potential most effectively, Kirsty studied MA Psychology at the University of Aberdeen. She has since completed further training in Occupational Ability and Personality testing and is a member of the British Psychological Society.

Outside of work, Kirsty has a passion for food and drink, particularly Scottish produce. She promotes local restaurants and businesses and shares homemade recipes through her food blog, Pancakes and Polaroids. Kirsty is also a fan of the countryside and escapes to the outdoors when she can, trying her hand at some (very) amateur photography.

Francesca Christophersen

Cesca is the Executive Assistant to our Chief Executive Jamie. She offers a confidential organisational support service to him, as well as operational and administrative support to the Livingston James Group. Cesca has a people-first approach, a keen eye for detail and is always on hand to support anyone in need.

Coming from a sporting background, Cesca was motivated to join an organisation focused on teamwork and joined Livingston James as a Research Associate in 2018. She gained significant experience sourcing senior executives for high profile assignments, learning the ropes of recruitment from the ground up and developing wider knowledge of market mapping, candidate attraction and assessment strategies and client/candidate relationship management.

Cesca graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc in Applied Sport Science with first class honours, where she specialised in Sports Biomechanics and Physiology. In addition to playing competitive football, basketball and water polo, Cesca was a competitive swimmer for over 10 years competing at National level and for Scotland Universities. She is fluent in Norwegian and has studied Spanish, French and Italian.

Cesca has always been heavily involved in volunteering, from swim teaching at local clubs to working at high profile sporting events. She also took on several committee roles whilst at university including Vice President of EUSWPC, overseeing club development for over 200 members. She was subsequently awarded a university Colours Award for outstanding voluntary service to the Sports Union. After graduating, she became head swim coach of EUSWPC for a year whilst working with us, coaching university students 5 times a week. Since leaving the team and retiring from swimming, she has vowed to never get up before 5am anymore… especially not to exercise.

Claire Feld

Claire Feld

Group Admin & Operations Assistant

Claire is our Group Admin and Operations Assistant and provides full support to all consultants across our Group’s three specialist brands (Livingston James, Rutherford Cross and Hamilton Forth), involving a vast range of duties from document formatting to compliance monitoring.

Claire joined Livingston James Group after graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a First Class Honours in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Claire is looking forward to starting her career in the fast-paced recruitment industry and particularly loves the culture of the Group!

Outside of work, Claire is a keen walker and enjoys climbing Munros. She is currently aiming to do ten every year (and is on track to complete them by the time she is 48…)!

Fiona McLeod

Finance Manager

Fiona joined Livingston James in May 2010. Fiona provides support across a broad range of functions both internally and externally, not least operating as Finance Manager.

Prior to joining Livingston James, Fiona spent over 13 years supporting senior executives and consultants in the recruitment industry. Her experience in addition to her finance responsibilities has ranged from office operations management, supporting research led CEO search assignments through to provision of marketing services and events coordination. This breadth of knowledge and Fiona’s commitment to delivering excellence make her an invaluable member of the team.

Beyond her day to day work life, Fiona has played an active part in teams focussed on fundraising for multiple charities. She is a key member of the team running the annual Wooden Spoon dinner in Glasgow.
